2009 NORTHEAST DISTRICT U-12 CHAMPS!
CONGRATULATIONS TO THE
BOLTON GIRLS U-12 TEAM!
The girls are all smiles...as they should be. Representing
Bolton in the playoffs, the girls showed everyone that the
little town of Bolton knows soccer. They took the semi-final
game 2-1 against Killingly and followed up with a 2-1 victory
in the finals against Hebron. R. Zimmerman saved the best
for last in knocking home all 4 goals. But as you can see,
these weren't games all about scoring. M. Gudauskas was a
force in the goal and J. Larsh and N. Vining led the defensive
efforts of Czerwinski, Florence, Harvey, Marshall, Nyser,
Pedersen, Callahan and a feisty little Langton. "D" was the key!
Coach Zimmerman said, "This was unquestionably a team effort. It's hard to separate out a star player, because they were all stars...and that's why we won". Coach Larsh simply said, "Man, those girls are good!"
The BSI Board of Directors would like to congratulate the girls and coaches for the first Championship of the modern era. Girls, we are proud of the win and more importantly, with the way you approach the referees,
your competitors and the game of soccer. For all of you, this championship is simply a stepping stone to greater things to come. We are lucky to have you and keep on smiling...
The boys Middle School team brought home the first ever soccer championship to Bolton Middle School. They played a hard fought game under the lights at Lyman Memorial High School. Goals by Fazzino (2) and Assard provided the fuel and no goals allowed by Langton delivered a 3-0 victory. Every Bolton player on the field showed the world that "Bolton knows Soccer"! The BSI Coaching Staff and the Board of Directors extend a hearty congratulations!
Well done!
Keep your eyes open for that new banner

We are proud of you all!
