It is our belief that a Soccer Team is made up of the players, the coaches and the parents. This is a requirement to having a good team. Each must be an active participant and each has a unique role. We don't expect coaches to be parents and we don't expect parents to be coaches. If you want to coach, we are always looking for coaches and assistant coaches and encourage every parent to give it a try. It is a very rewarding experience and can be valuable time spent with your kids. We strongly recommend you to give it a try.
I encourage you to please take the time to read this short story about soccer parents and players. It'll take about two minutes, but will stay with you throughout the career of your players. Click here:
So what is the roll of a parent on the team?
1. First and foremost...be a parent. You already know how to do that, so I won't elaborate.
2. Assist the coaches however you can. Don't be afraid to ask how you can help.
3. Talk frequently with your kids about soccer and their experience. Practice with them and let them show you what they're learning.
4. Be supportive and show good sportmanship at games.
